The Orange Box – XBox 360

This game is a bit of an older release, and the graphics / game features will let you know this….they’re not painful to look at, they’re older looking. But for $20 this seems to make this a must buy for any XBox 360 gamer!!
You get the full Half Life 2 game (which i’m currently playing through), half life episodes 1 & 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2.
Half Life is a story based survivor game, and is a first person shooter. Portal is more of a puzzle / maze style of game (also first person). Team Fortress is an online multiplayer first person shooter….if you are lucky enough to find some parties online (from my experience that is) to play with it is a blast.
I haven’t dove far enough into the stories of any of the 3 (well 5 including episodes 1 & 2) games to give insight into what they’re about yet, but it is really a great deal. Plus Valve, the makers of Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 made all of these games. So you can expect the same quality of gameplay / sound in these games as you can in their later releases (while taking into consideration these are a bit dated from a late 2009 release such as L4D 2).

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare – XBox 360
Although the campaign was short, i’m playing tons of the Arcade mode and it is a blast!! They really seem to play off of the shortness of the game, because they have a lot of time trials within the Arcade mode. I’m really enjoying this game, and i’m very glad it’s in my collection!!
